1. Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation – Dog Easter Egg Hunt

Come dressed to enter our doggie costume contest to compete for prizes! Bring your dogs and come join the fun of our dog Easter egg hunt. This is a great way to get out and play with your furry friend. Your regristration of $8 allows up to two dogs to join in on the fun.  pre Regristration is requested.

Although it is more of a rolling event than a traditional hunt, children can still enjoy various egg-themed activities, games, and races on the White House lawn. The event is typically held on Easter Monday and is one of the oldest and most cherished traditions in D.C. Though tickets are required (and are distributed via lottery), it's a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of the nation's capital.Every year, the traditional Easter Egg Roll lottery provides an equitable means of inclusion for guests from a diversity of all 50 states. White House Easter Egg Roll tickets are free and will be made available via an online lottery. 2025 details to come.To enter the lottery, participants are prompted to create an account on the Recreation.gov website.

5.Beeping Easter Egg Hunt 

Location Gari Melchers Home and Studio, 224 Washington St, Fredericksburg, VA 

Date: April 13,2025 

For an Inclusive easter egg hunt  visit the Beeping Easter Egg Hunt with Gari Melchers Home and Studio has invited visually impaired or blind children and their families to participate in a Beeping Egg Hunt. Our specially designed plastic eggs emit a chirping sound that allows children to retrieve them using their hearing. Sighted siblings are encouraged to participate by wearing a blindfold. The event also includes a petting zoo, a Touch a Tractor station, sensory activities, plus verbal descriptions and touch tours in the art gallery.
