The Super Bowl 2025: Everything You Need to Know

The Super Bowl is more than just a championship game in American football; it's low key one of the best family “holidays” of the year. The whole family watches together, kids develop team loyalties, there’s food but not the stress of an entire turkey dinner. Then the half time show and commercials add a bit of fun for even the non-sporty family members. So let’s dive into all the essential things you need to know about the Super Bowl 2025.

When is the Super Bowl 2025?

The 2025 edition of the Super Bowl (officially known as Super Bowl LVIII) is set to take place on February 9, 2025. As usual, the event will take place on a Sunday, marking the culmination of the NFL season.

Where is Super Bowl 2025 being held?

Super Bowl 2025 will be hosted at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, a suburb of Las Vegas. This will be the first time the Super Bowl is played in Las Vegas, a city known for its vibrant nightlife, world-class entertainment, and, of course, its casinos. Allegiant Stadium, home to the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, is a state-of-the-art facility that promises to offer a fantastic fan experience.

Fun Fact: Las Vegas had to wait a bit longer than other cities to host the Super Bowl, but now that it’s here, it’s expected to turn the event into an unforgettable celebration, with parties, concerts, and all kinds of events taking over the city leading up to the game.

Who Will Play in Super Bowl 2025?

The Kansas City Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Eagles. That’s Travis Kelce’s team (Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) and the team his brother Jason Kelce used to play for. Expand the chances your teens will show up to watch the game by setting up a Taylor Swift playlist. Check out our Taylor Swift inspired Super Bowl Playlist on you YouTube

Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show

The Super Bowl halftime show is an event in itself, featuring some of the biggest music stars in the world. After the success of recent performances by artists like Rihanna (Super Bowl LVII, 2023) and Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Eminem (Super Bowl LVI, 2022). Kendrick Lamar will do the half-time show this year.

Super Bowl 2025 Commercials

Aside from the game and the halftime show, Super Bowl commercials are arguably one of the most anticipated aspects of the event. The cost of a 30-second ad spot in the 2025 Super Bowl is expected to be astronomical, likely pushing $7 million or more. Brands know that millions of eyes are on the game, and this is their chance to make a splash.

Expect commercials that are funny, touching, controversial, or simply mind-blowing. Over the years, iconic ads like those from Budweiser, Pepsi, and Coca-Cola have become as legendary as the game itself. With digital platforms like YouTube and TikTok also amplifying the reach of these ads, we may even see brands testing the waters with new forms of interactive content.

Keep an eye out for Fred Parent’s Monday morning poll on which commercials came out on top for our readers. We will give out a $25 Target card to a randomly selected voter. Poll will be on our Instagram page.

How to Watch the Super Bowl 2025

If you can't make it to Las Vegas, don’t worry—you can still catch the game from the comfort of your own home. Super Bowl 2025 will be broadcast live across major television networks, and most fans can tune in on CBS, NBC, or Fox Sports. For international audiences, there will also be streaming options available through services like YouTube TV, FuboTV, and Peacock.

As the Super Bowl is a highly anticipated event, expect major networks to offer pre-game shows, behind-the-scenes content, and expert commentary leading up to kickoff.

Super Bowl 2025: What to Expect Beyond the Game

While the football game itself will no doubt take center stage, there are other aspects of Super Bowl Sunday that contribute to the event's charm:
