FAMily Fun

To meet the needs of families who are spending their days together at home, the folks at the Fredericksburg Area Museum have created an array of online activities on their FACEBOOK page called FAMily Projects.  Examples include creating your own Family Crest and learning about the historical importance of street and school names in the area.

Where the Museum doors may be closed, we are vitually open and offering  NATURAL EDUCATION Virtual Learning all day long, with new content daily on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,  Tik Tok and on our many expert blogs!  The next best thing to visiting!

Engineering for Kids Central VA

Check out great programs virtually!  Choose from Scratch Coding - Shark Attack or Scratch Coding - Ninja Warriors.

Scratch Coding - Shark Attack:  When:  Dates:4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16.  10 am - 11 am.  Cost:  $50.

Scratch Coding- Ninja Warriors:  When:  4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20.  4 - 5 pm.  Cost:  $50

Lego Contest 

The Fredericksburg Area Builders Association (FABA) is challenging all LEGO builders age 3-17 to show off their master LEGO skills in its LEGO Home Building Contest.  To compete, they must use LEGOs to build a house using their own, original design. Then they should photograph it from several different angles and point out any special features.

The photos, along with the child’s first name and age, should be sent to FABA by Facebook Direct Message (@FABA.VIRGINIA) or by email to [email protected] by May 4.

Looking to get out of the house and exercise? Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events Department wants you to know about two other options to get in a good workout - the outdoor fitness trail at Dixon Park & the City Circuit in downtown.

Spotsy Parks & Rec- Grab Bags

Do you have a kiddo at home who's between preschool and 1st grade?  We've got some fun for you!  We will have GRAB BAGS available on the front porch of our office at Loriella Park!  We will be placing bags out on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays! They will be available on a first come, first served basis. We will post HERE when supplies have run out each week.  

Just drive up, grab a bag of your choosing and head home for some fun activities! Let us take away the burden of trying to come up with activities to do... we'll put them together for you!  Themes include Earth Day, dinosaurs, farm animals, pirates and more! 


Stafford Food Security

Stafford Food Security is providing meals for local families.  Check them out FACEBOOK to contact them and for more info!  They have the resources to help a lot of families so please reach out if you need any help at all!  Donations accepted too!


Cooking Autism, Inc - Daily Lunch Bunch

Join Cooking Autism for their Facebook live fun & educational cooking lessons!  Mon - Sat at 12 noon!  You can check out any past "lunch bunch sessions" on their FACEBOOK page!
