The marriage of Breakfast and Lunch is arguably one of mankind's greatest achievements. Well... that may be exaggerating things a bit. Regardless, having breakfast food with champagne at 11:30am is a simple pleasure that none should deny themselves. With so many great restaurants to choose from in Fredericksburg, it could take you all morning to decide where to go! Thus, we compiled a list of ten stellar brunchy spots in The 'Burg you MUST try. And we do recommend you try them all. I mean, for scientific purposes, obviously.

Top Ten Places To Get Brunch In The 'Burg

1      Foode-  Their chicken and waffles were recently named “Virginia’s Best Dish,” in the 2015 Virginia Is For Lovers, Virginia Culinary Challenge. Don’t stop at the waffles though! Foodie’s Big Nasty and mimosas are equally amazing! We can’t wait for Joy and Beth to open their new breakfast-focused restaurant, Mercantile, on William Street!

2      Mason Dixon Café- The new guy in town can definitely hold his/her own! Mason Dixon Cafe's brunch menu is enormous!  It’s a great place to take the kids, too.

3      2400 Diner- Because sometimes you just need a little old school charm and diner food. This is another restaurant that offers a very family friendly brunch.

Sunken Well Tavern- Tucked away from the main drag of Downtown Fredericksburg, Sunken Well is a brunchy gem! Their omelets are out of this world and the chocolate chip pancakes are always a hit. Only open for brunch Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am.

5      Amy’s Café- Sit outside on the large veranda and enjoy a plate full of comfort food. There’s nothing like sunshine, coffee, grits, and good company to put a smile on your face.

6      The Battlefield Restaurant - This place is practically a Fredericksburg landmark! Located right across from the Fredericksburg National Cemetery on Lafayette Blvd, this is a great place for a good old fashioned plate of sausage gravy and biscuits. It may not be fancy, but the staff is friendly and the food is the kind of stuff your grandma probably makes.

7      Bistro Bethem- They’re not just a great date night spot! Bistro Bethem serves brunch starting at 11:30 am, on Sundays. Heck, they may convince us to start having brunch dates in lieu of date nights. The menu changes weekly, but the quality remains the best! Cheers!

8      Eileen’s Café- You won’t get table service at Eileen’s, but you will get your world rocked with their amazing, homemade, artisanal pastries and breakfast sandwiches. If the weather is nice, sit out back in their courtyard and enjoy a leisurely morning of crepes and coffee.

9      The Kenmore Inn- The Kenmore Inn recently started serving brunch again. Spots tend to fill quickly so be sure to make reservations. Especially, for special events like Mother’s Day or Easter. This is the perfect place to spoil someone you love!

10   Bravo!- Conveniently located in The Village at Towne Centre, Bravo! has a remarkably large menu and a fabulous bar. Shopping and French toast? Win!
