2019 Stratford Hall Wine & Oyster Festival. Sep 21, 22. Enjoy tastings from Virginia wineries, coastal oysters, food trucks and breweries as you explore local artisan booths. Culpeper Harvest Days Farm Tour. Sep 21, 22. 10 am - 4 pm. Enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and taste of Culpeper County on farms in the beautiful Blue Ridge foothills. This free event provides a wonderful educational experience and includes a variety of hands on activities and demonstrations. The tour, a self-guided driving experience, can be started at the Welcome Center located at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises on Route 29.

FXBG Wine Festival. Sept 21, 22. Enjoy an afternoon of wine tastings, live music, local artisans, specialty retailers, and unique food vendors. Where: Old Mill Park, F'burg. Ticket prices vary.

State Fair of VA. Sept 27 - Oct 6. Come celebrate the best of Virginia at the State Fair of Virginia, a 10-day event at the beautiful, pastoral setting of The Meadow Event Park. Capital Ale House Oktoberfest. Sep 28, 11:30 am - 10 pm. Virginia's favorite street party is back and better than ever! Harvest Moon Festival. Sep 28. 12 – 10 pm. Join us for the 3rd Annual Harvest Moon Festival! Fall Pumpkin Harvest Festival. Sep 30 – Oct 31. Pick pumpkins, watch the pig races, get lost in the corn maze, roast marshmallows at the bonfire, hay rides, cider donuts, tractors and more! Where: Great Country Farms, Bluemont, VA. 

Montpelier Wine Trail Fall Festival. Oct 5, 12 - 6 pm. Wine, live music and more! Tickets: $20/person and includes wine tastings from each of the wineries in attendance. Where: Honah Lee Vineyard, Gordonsville, VA.  

Downtown F'burg Harvest Festival. Oct 5. 9 am- 1 pm. Celebrate the flavors and colors of fall with us! Fun for the whole family: pumpkin patch, build your own scarecrow, face painting, pumpkin painting, rock painting. Fall Wine Festival & Sunset Tour. Oct 11 - 13, 6 - 9 pm. Enjoy live blues and spectacular views of the Potomac River while sampling wine from 20 Virginia wineries! Ticket prices vary. Buy early, event typically sells out. Where: George Washington's Mt. Vernon. 

Fall Fredericksburg Brew Fest. Oct 12, 11 am - 5 pm. All you care to sample event! Over 80 beers and more in the VIP. LIVE music, food vendors and other vendors! Fall Festival @ Mountain Run Winery. Oct 12, 12 - 7 pm. Come out and enjoy some great Mountain Run wine and celebrate the harvest with us! Live music, vendors, food, lawn games. We have plenty to do for everyone (including the kiddos) so bring your lawn chairs and plan to stay awhile! Admission is free to the event and parking is $5! Where: Mountain Run Winery, Culpeper. 

Fall Family Fun Festival @ Horton Vineyards. Oct 12. 12 – 4 pm. There will be all manner of fun and delicious activities from wine tasting and food trucks to carnival games and activities for your little ones. Bring a pop-up tent and chairs spend the day enjoying the different activities. Local vendors, live music and more! Admission is free! Where: 6399 Spotswood Trail, Gordonsville, VA.

Annual Harvest Festival in Bowling Green. Oct 19, 9am – 5:30 pm. Join us on Main Street for over 150 vendors, artisan crafts, food trucks, live entertainment all day, pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, car show, antique tractors, beer garden and more! 

Fredericksburg Fall Home & Craft Festival. Oct 19, 20. Unique blend of home improvement companies and handmade crafters. Where: F'burg Expo Center. 

Fall Harvest Family Days @ Mt. Vernon. Oct 19, 20. 9am - 5pm. Enjoy fall activities with the whole family at Mount Vernon! Take a horse-drawn wagon ride and play colonial games on the bowling green before heading to the Pioneer Farm to observe 18th-century demonstrations and greet General Washington. Find your way through a straw bale maze and listen to the Itinerant Band play colonial tunes. Sightseeing cruises will be free throughout the weekend. Oktoberfest @ Botanical Gardens. Oct 26. 11 am - 4 pm. Celebrate fall, nature’s grand finale, with OktoberFest at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden — a day filled with live music, games and prizes, all included in Garden admission. Where: Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Richmond. 

Belvedere Plantation Fall Festival Finale. Nov 1 – 3. It’s your last chance to visit Belvedere Plantation before we close for the winter! And we have a great line-up of entertainment and activities — don’t miss our new Pumpkin Smash competition! Reduced Farm Admission! Included in Farm Admission are the Corn Maze, Fun Barn, Zipline, Ye Olde Barnyard, Pumpkin Mountain Slide, Jumping Pillow, Hayride, and Pedal Tractors.

Caledon Art & Wine Festival. Nov 2-3. Enjoy a fall day at the park and see what the area's finest artisans have to offer. Get a jump on holiday shopping. Taste wine from local wineries. A commemorative wine glass is included with the price of tasting. Great food will also be for sale. The picnic shelter, gift shop and visitor center will be open, and hay wagon rides will be available for the kids. Live raptor show! Belvedere Plantation. Sept 21- Nov 3. This working farm celebrates the fall harvest time with pumpkin picking, bonfires, evening hayrides, and a cornfield maze! Other attractions include pedal tractors, pig races, a pumpkin mountain slide, barnyard animals, and the fun barn with giant rope swings. Food and other specialty items sold on the premises. Clark's Farm. Opening for fall fun in late Sep. Cows N Corn. Sept 14 - Oct 27, Weekends: Join us down on the farm to select the perfect VA grown pumpkins, get lost in our huge corn maze (8 football fields) ride in the cow train, meet a cow, learn to make butter, laugh at Lily the cow puppet and her "farm show", bounce in the "MOO" Bounce and be sure to take the hayride tour around the farm. Round Hill Farm. Opens Oct 5 - 31. A tractor-drawn hayride carries your family or group to the Pumpkin Patch. Pick-your-own or select from pre-picked pumpkins at the farms open-air market. Other activities include the barnyard petting-zoo with more than 30 farm animals, two hay bale mazes, a corn maze, zip line, face painting, rope swings, pony rides, and picnic area.
