The Fredericksburg City Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at a first come, first serve basis, at the sites and times as follows:

Monday through Friday: June 25 to August 17

Heritage Park Community 12:00 – 12:30 pm
Downtown Library 12:00 – 12:45 pm
Crestview Apartments 12:40 – 1:10 pm
Hazel Hill Apartments 1:00 – 1:30 pm
Forest Village Apartments 1:15 – 1:45 pm

Every Day: June 25 to September 3

Doris E. Buffet (Dixon Park) Pool 12:00 – 2:00 pm

Aneurysm Awareness Walk and Book Signing for Cancer Support


This month, Pouches highlights 2 community events which both aim to bring awareness to medical issues. The first is a walk to raise awareness about brain aneurysms, and the second is a book signing for a new book designed to help parents talk to young children about the death of an older sibling.
