Blossom Kite Festival. March 30, 10 am- 4:30pm. Head to the Washington Monument grounds for a day of kite-flying and kite-related activities including demonstrations, competitions, a Kite Club Display Area and Activity Tents where kids can make their own kites to fly. The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. April 13, 10 am - 12 pm. Vibrant costumes and blossom-inspired décor create the look of nation's premier springtime parade. Giant colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, celebrity entertainers, marching bands from across the country, and performers burst down Constitution Avenue in a grand spectacle of music and showmanship seen only once a year during the Festival. 29th Annual Multicultural Fair. April 13, 10 am – 5 pm.
