Rain in Style

Hey everyone! How has your summer been? Over here in the Serbinski household, we have gained two new members of our family. Please meet Nefertiti and Cleopatra.

Yes, these Egyptian queens have found their way to us and we are so in love. If you are looking to adopt a kitty we had the best experience with Purrs & Whiskers. I encourage you to check them out..  Find them on Facebook, here.

I thought for this week, a "what's new" post would be in order; our new kittens inspired me. So, what's new in my closet, and what am I absolutely loving...besides kitty snuggles? Let's start with these wide legged pants. They are by Bershka and I found them on ThredUP. A funny thing happened regarding these pants. If you remember a few weeks ago I had written a post about crop tops, here, and I had said that I was wanting to try putting a crop top with wide legged pants...and then as if it were meant to be, I found a pair on ThredUP! They were meant to be mine.

These pants are perfection. They balance the crop top and they have slits in both legs. When I walk, and the pants catch the breeze (you know because it's so breezy in July)...they sorta fan out behind me. My little girl says the effect makes me look "fancy". I'll take it.

Also new in my closet is this outfit from my recent Stitch Fix box. Again, another pair of wide legged pants, but these have a different shape. The crop top came in the box too and they are the perfect pair. Now that I have tried styling my crops this way, I love it, but it wasn't love at first sight. It did take a little bit of time to get used to, since I am always in skinny jeans, so these felt odd. However, I am here to tell you that sometimes we should embrace the odd and wear the heck out of it. I mean why not? Oh and those heels?? They were part of a very large shoe order that I placed when ThredUP was having a 20% off sale. I mean can you blame me?

Look at them! And there's even one pair missing from this shot. All of these are from ThredUP, and ALL were 20% off thier already low prices. Now, if you ask me if I have room in my closet for them...I will be honest and say no...but I care not. I will make it work!  Also new to my closet and a new style for me to try...this jumpsuit.

It is Ralph Lauren and, yes, it's from ThredUP during the 20% off sale. Now, y'all know I love me a romper, but I had never tried a jumpsuit before! Jumpsuits are just like a romper but with pants. I can honestly tell you, I have no idea why I waited so long to try them. Loving it!

What's new for you? Has anything new found its way into your closet or your life? Do you have little lovey dovies??

Oh and, local friends, please go get a copy of the July issue of Fredericksburg Parent Magazine and find my article! Non local friends, find the digital version, here. You will also want to stay tuned for more exciting news... (leaves crowd with a cliffhanger...cue evil laugh).  LOL. No, I am NOT pregnant.
