Organizing Through Life

Last week brought us one huge weather storm. (And it wasn't just in our area). We actually didn't get hit hard like other areas did...but wasn't it scary?

Storm_April_2014.JPGBeing prepared for a storm is more than emergency supplies in your closet and cabinets. With all of the natural disasters the United States has been experiencing, I think that Mother Nature is bi-polar! So what if you needed to evacuate?

From extreme cold for extended periods, an enormous amount of snow, torrential rains, tornados…and even an earthquake, it can all be really draining (no pun intended).   A week later, people are still draining and drying their basements. It may be weeks before everything is back to normal.

A natural disaster can take away more than your material items. But the question is....what would you grab to put in your car if you only had 20-30 minutes to pack your car? Would you lose all of your memories, the really important paperwork and your private and personal information?  I think that the bigger question is this….do you know where to find all of the information, specifically important papers, that you need to take with you?

MobilLogic_logo_organized.jpgThere is a quick and easy answer to the above question – and the homework has all been done for you! The first answer for all of your business and personal information is MobilLogic. You don’t have to lose any information because MobilLogic is an awesome organizing software that allows you to keep all of your information stored on the Cloud.  This can include your pictures, client information, medical records, contact information, account numbers, banking information, passwords, and…most importantly, your home and office inventory! And, you can pull it all up on your tablet, iPad, smartphone or any other electronic device.

Having a home inventory, including pictures of items, will reduce a ton of stress and overwhelm when you need to file an insurance claim. Think about being able to simply send your insurance an agent a picture of all of your inventory (along with a copy of the serial numbers and even a copy of the receipt with how much you originally paid for the item). I can just feel the stress rolling off of my shoulders just talking about it.

The other answer to staying organized and prepared for a natural disaster is to have all of your Life in Case set up. This is the filing system that provides you with the ease of having all of your original documentation with you at all times. It is a grab and go storage system that even shows you exactly what you need to store. It couldn’t be easier.Life_in_case.jpg

The bottom line – with your computer, tablet and phone you have access to all of your information on your MobilLogic account and your Life in Case in your hand, you will have time (and room in the car) to grab things like some clothes, food, your pet and your most important and valuable items for your home and concentrate on taking care of the next step - getting your business and life back in order. And, most importantly, making that insurance claim!
