One thing that changes when you have children is automobile choices. While sporty, two-door vehicles with just room enough for an overnight bag may have sufficed when you were newly married, they’re not practical for families. Now that the little ones have arrived, you’ll want to make sure they’re in the safest and most comfortable vehicle, and Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg offers plenty of selections that fit every criterion.

According to Consumer Reports’ “Kid-Friendly Vehicles: How to Choose the Best Car for Your Family,” child safety, easy access and cargo area are priorities for families with small children.

Honda Odyssey & Pilot

Joseph Mang, product specialist for Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg says the Odyssey is specially designed for children of all ages and easy to transport kids. An American Institute of Insurance five-star, safety-rated vehicle, it’s equipped for ensuring a parent’s peace of mind.

Parents with older children and teens will want to check out the Odyssey and the Pilot*, which have the capacity for eight passengers. Mang recommends these two vehicles because of the tremendous amount of room for storage and a host of other features.

U.S. News & World Report places the 2021 Honda Odyssey near the top of its minivan rankings, citing its “spacious and well-appointed interior, lively performance and abundance of family-friendly technology.” The publication’s review for the 2021 Honda Pilot touts its “comfortable ride and adult-friendly seating in all three rows.”

Honda Accord

Another excellent choice is the Honda Accord, which U.S. News & World Report describes as having a “cavernous interior with comfortable seating for five and room for three car seats/boosters in the back row.” Named one of its picks for “Best Cars for Families,” this year’s model offers the hybrid to help save on fuel and is environmentally friendly. Hybrid and standard are considered inexpensive, reliable choices and having everything a family needs to stay safe and happy on the road, according to Red Tricycle website.

Check out these and many more cars at Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg at 60 South Gateway Drive in Fredericksburg or visit pohankahondaoffredericksburg.com.

*The Pilot is also deemed five-star, safety-rated by the American Institute of Insurance.
