Karen Charney (Webmaster). Karen is a freelance webdesigner and has been FredParent’s webmaster since 2005, when publisher Leigh Anne Van Doren strong-armed sweet-talked her into the job. Thankfully, the internet is portable, since she was a Marine wife and moved every few years. She’s updated the FPM website from homes in North Carolina and Hawaii, and from hotel rooms in Italy, Germany, France, California, Arizona, and Hong Kong. Karen has a BS in German business from Penn State, has been married to her now-retired Marine for 24 years, and has 2 adult boys, one of whom gave her the daughter she’d always wanted when he got married. ♥
