We're back with another Top Ten Tuesday! This week, the Fred Parent staff is sharing some of our favorite summertime activites to do in The 'Burg, for $5 and UNDER! We love a good deal, guys.


Top Ten Summer Activites For $5 And Under

 Paragon Village 12's FREE Summer movies! Movies start at 10:00am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and run until August 20th. - Brenda, Social Media Manager

Storytime With The Cow, of course! Bring your child for a story reading with Pouches and the Chick-Fil-A Cow, music, crafts with our friends at Wiggle Worms, and more! The USMC Museum has a Summer Concert Series on Thursday Nights, in August, at 7:00, on the parade deck.  It’s FREE! They also have Family Day events on Saturdays. -   Sheila, Advertising Sales Consultant

The Library has great and FREE programs happening throughout the summer like, Music On The Steps, upcoming LIVE animal presentations, and a really fun summer reading program.  - Leigha, Calendar Editor

Government Island
in Aquia/North Stafford. It’s a pleasant walk/easy hike.  Pretty, serene and historical.  That’s where they quarried the sandstone for the Washington Monument. - Sheila, Advertising Sales Consultant


Turn on the sprinkler and invite all the neighborhood kids for icy pops and water fun. Draw a huge hopscotch board on your driveway. Buy a giant bouncy ball and draw a four square board in the street and invite the neighbors to come play. - Karen, Webmaster
