Hometown Fall Festival at Embrey Mill
Saturday, October 4 • 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.
If you’re looking for a great, free family event, why not stop by Embrey Mill as it celebrates its first anniversary by opening its grounds to the community on Saturday, October 4 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. You’ll enjoy exciting food vendors, a beer and wine garden, live music and fun for all ages. While you’re there, take tours of Embrey Mill’s beautiful new homes.
Enjoy Free Activities. Live music by Darcy Dawn & Company, a pumpkin decorating stand with free pumpkins, games and contests at Racetrack Park, carnival games, face painting, balloon twisting, a fire truck and safety information provided by Stafford County Fire and Rescue. There will also be mums and pumpkins for sale with proceeds benefitting “Coats for Kids.”
Enjoy Free Food: Eat pulled pork barbecue, sausages, Philly cheesesteaks, fresh cut beach fries, grilled corn, vegetarian kabobs, cupcakes, donuts, popcorn, and a grab a frozen delight from gelato cart, all on the house!
Enjoy the Atmosphere. Stay until evening and enjoy a glass of wine or a warm drink from Before ‘n’ After Café as you take in the first taste of fall foliage.

This annual family favorite offers scores of activities for children all ages. Scurry through a maize maze, pluck pumpkins from the patch, swing from a zip line or trot on the back of pony. The farm is open during the weekdays, but the full battery of activities is only available on weekends.
Fall Foliage Train Ride
October 18, 25 • 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Take a ride restored maintenance vehicles once used in the early 20th century by the C&O and B&O railroads. You’ll chug along through Deep Run on a fall foliage train ride that lets you experience Frederiksburg’s railroad heritage and enjoy the colorful shades of fall. Reservations aren’t required, but rides are conducted on a first come first served basis. Tour the museum after your trip to see tools and artifacts from the railroad era. The ride and the museum are free, but donations are welcome.
Fredericksburg Fall Family Festival with Spotswood Baptist and Thunder 104.5
Sunday, October 26 • 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Join Spotswood Baptist and the Spotsylvania Towne Centre for an afternoon of family-friendly fun at the 6th annual Fredericksburg Fall Family Festival.
Enjoy hayrides, inflatables, carnival games and a petting zoo. All activities are free to enjoy. Venture inside Spotsylvania Towne Centre to continue the fun with more games and prizes.
