Did YOU Know??

The library has eBooks for all ages, downloadable for free to almost any device, including iPads, Nooks and Kindles?

Each branch of your local library has free weekly storytimes for children under 5! Find times and locations.

Each branch of your local library has a monthly evening or Saturday storytime so that busy working families can enjoy them too! Find times and locations.

Our England Run branch hosts, "We Are Special," a storytime especially designed for special needs children and their families. The next one will be March 19th at 7 p.m.

Thanks to a partnership with the Friends of the Rappahannock, the library has Nature Adventure Packs--backpacks filled with books and regalia, like magnifying glasses or nets, and activities for you to enjoy with your child in the great outdoors.

Your libraries have Early Learning Centers with educational and manipulative items for parents or caregivers to use to enhance the library experience and to teach early reading skills through play. Centers can be found at the following locations: England Run, Headquarters, Porter, and Salem Church.

Did you know when you bring your child to a storytime, we are not just reading books aloud but introducing your child to the foundations they need in order to learn to read?
