Want to have your (or your child's) art featured on a local restaurant's menu?  Keep on reading....

We are THRILLED to have The Trolley Stop Deli  (in Downtown Fredericksburg, across from the Visitor's Center) join our Play with your Plate program in September!  Play with your Plate is an exciting new collaboration with Doctor Yum to make eating out healthier for kids in the 'Burg.

Foode is already serving a fabulous kids’ menu with a fun and educational Play with your Plate placemat for kids to play with and take home.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before August 26 The winning entry will be included on the new Play with your Plate menu and the artist will win a family meal from the good folks at The Trolley Stop Deli.  The contest is open to kids and adults of all ages so pull out your pencils and get to work.  (Black and white line drawings only please ~ ones kids can color-in while they wait for their yummy food!)

This month Pouches learned about a very important resource for families who have lost loved ones to sudden tragedy, an organization called LLOST.

The foundation has helped 44 hospitals in 22 states through their Treasured Memories program. The program sends nurses to bereavement training, and provides or supplements the $55 memory boxes that include clothes, booties, handknot blankets, pictures, foot prints, hand prints, clipped hair and other mementos.
