UMW 2015 Gift Box Drive

Each year, the University of Mary Washington's Community Outreach and Resources office conducts a gift-box drive to benefit local Head Start students. The event runs from November 13th- 20th. They encourage student groups, faculty and staff, and community members to fill boxes or donate items such as: scarves, gloves, small toys, coloring books, books, or crayons. The items must be non-religious in nature and be suitable for children ages 3-5. Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (BACA) exists to create a safer environment for abused children by empowering children to not feel afraid of their world. Imagine how an abused child feels when a group of large bikers rides up to their house, inducts them into their club and then escorts them to court to testify against their abuser.
