MANARC to Sponsor the Military Family Career and Resource Fair on May 15th

(FREDERICKSBURG, VA) MANARC, Borne the Battle, a 501( C ) 3 non-profit organization and thrift store, established to support veterans in the Greater Fredericksburg region, will sponsor the Military Family Career and Resource Fair. This event will be held on Friday, May 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Fredericksburg National Guard Armory, located at 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway. The event is open to all veterans, active duty, reserve and guard service members and their families.

Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, Inc., Rappahannock Area Community Services Board and the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program, Region 1, will host the Career and Resource Fair.

MANARC will set up a table at the event and provide information about its non-profit organization and thrift store. MANARC will inform the military community about MANARC's mission and MANARC's work in helping local area veterans. The organization will share how local veterans can get involved with MANARC's efforts.

MANARC, Borne the Battle has been established as a non-profit organization operating on donations from the community with the express purpose of providing support to local established Veterans organizations to improve the level of support to Veterans. MANARC—"Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, Reserve and Coast Guard"—opened its doors in September of 2014 with a mission to support Veterans. MANARC's thrift store is located at 107 William Street. Store hours are Sunday through Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Donations are accepted during all hours of operation. The foundation has helped 44 hospitals in 22 states through their Treasured Memories program. The program sends nurses to bereavement training, and provides or supplements the $55 memory boxes that include clothes, booties, handknot blankets, pictures, foot prints, hand prints, clipped hair and other mementos.
