"The Only Thing More Fleeting than Childhood is Summer...."

We all know it's true: kids grow up way too fast. Living here in Virginia most of our kids have abundant chances to enjoy the outdoors during the summer, either through camps, family outings, vacations or even just something as simple as catching fireflies in the back yard at dusk.

Many kids are not so fortunate. The Fresh Air Fund (http://www.freshair.org/) is an organization that has allowed underprivileged children from New York City to enjoy some time in the countryside (or suburbia!) every summer since 1877. This year, they are in need of more families from Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties to host children from July 29th-August 8th. Fredericksburg Parent is helping to get the word out, and hopes that you will consider responding to this need.

Contact information for the local coordinator is below. She will answer all your questions and walk you through the process! Open your heart and your home and make memories to last a lifetime!
