Hot off the Press

An Informational and Supportive Group for ADULT FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE CHRONICALLY ILL AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED

Please join us for this bi-monthly community support group. There are no fees or attendance requirements.

Group sessions are open to any adult living with or caring for chronically ill or physically challenged family members. Sessions are being facilitated by professional Life Coach, Marcia Grimsley, BA., MS., who brings to this group years of personal and professional experience in the field of disability. The format is both informational and interactive. The group's purpose is to explore skillful ways of living and coping with the many challenges that are unique to these families.

Date & Time: 2nd & 4th Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 PM, starting Tuesday October, 23, 2012

Location: The John F. Fick Conference Center (Entrance on the back parking lot side of the MOSS FREE CLINIC at the Mary Washington Hospital Complex)

Pouches' Community Corner

This month Pouches learned about a very important resource for families who have lost loved ones to sudden tragedy, an organization called LLOST.

keepsake box

The foundation has helped 44 hospitals in 22 states through their Treasured Memories program. The program sends nurses to bereavement training, and provides or supplements the $55 memory boxes that include clothes, booties, handknot blankets, pictures, foot prints, hand prints, clipped hair and other mementos.
